Nick Clube has been playing guitar since age 16. His first band played their debut gig in 1974 with material as diverse as
B. Bumble And The Stingers and Steppenwolf. The passionate love of guitar stayed with him into adulthood as other teenagers left it all behind. In ‘76 he was to join Blackpool’s premier group
Down At Heel and get his first taste of the commercial side of the business as well as a first foray into the recording studio.

Returning to the UK in ‘86 Nick continued his music with a partnership with an excellent songwriter from London, A Jay. The duo caused quite a stir amongst the music people in London but the project was ultimately to fail due to weak management.

Becoming a Christian in 1993, Nick moved his energies, rock guitar and song-writing into Christian rock, a much-aligned form of music. A three-piece band, Living Water was eventually to become Mid Life Crisis and expand to a four-piece which plays to this day. Nick meanwhile added bass guitar to his repertoire and kept alive the essential love of kicking rock music. As Larry Norman once asked, why should the Devil have all the best music? Nick’s music is about showing that Christian believers love rock music too and can play it at a standard that matches or exceeds that found elsewhere.
